Descripción de la Plaza

Objective: Assess, plan and drive projects from start to completion defining requirements of how product will perform during its life cycle and how it will meet the required specifications. Liaise with related departments to ensure cohesive integration of materials, technology and customer requirements to develop and produce repeatability products.

• Review and confirm that product requirements are met
• Define specifications of equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures and sewing techniques for achieving product quality requirements
• Design and document cell layouts and process flow
• Create product specifications (blue prints, bill of materials, etc.)
• Develop and coordinate with operations on new product development from Idea generation to product launch
This position should interact with production, engineering, quality, customer service, warehouse, HR, and maintenance.

Experiencia y requisitos:

• New Product Introduction/Project Engineer with a proven track record in textile industry specializing in custom made products with low volume high mix manufacturing
• Minimum 4 years of experience
• Knowledge on stuffing cushion techniques and industrial practices
• Ability to train and develop a team of engineers
• Natural problem solver with the ability to present your findings and propose solutions confidently with all levels of external and internal colleagues
• Strong ethic of working within a lean framework and team player who brings experience, expertise and energy
• Process routing and bills of materials with primary emphasis on New Products.
• Cost/Benefit project analysis across all Textile Operations
• Specification of equipment, tooling, jigs and fixtures for plant textile processes.
• Knowledge of sewing techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of fabrics, treads, webbing, and other textile components.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams
• Project management experience
• Proficient using office suite and MRP’s or ERP’s software
