We are seeking an experienced Resource Manager to join the Human Resources (HR) team office. The ideal candidate for this newly created position is motivated, flexible, and energized by people management and adapting quickly to a growing and changing environment. This position is primarily responsible for the staffing/scheduling of the consulting group with an eye towards overall optimization in terms of staff skill sets, project needs, and staff development.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Work with HR, Planning and Business Analysis, Group Leaders, Development Chairs, current/past staffing coordinators, and others to utilize robust tools to forecast, monitor, assign, and evaluate consulting staff needs
Meet regularly with consulting staff to understand their skill sets, development goals, and advise them on the available opportunities and potential matches
Attend weekly staffing meetings, keep apprised of staffing forecasts, and facilitate individual staffing requests including those across office locations and/or groups
Participate in analyst and associate review process in order to ensure that skills and development needs are integrated effectively in to project staffing assignments
Identify patterns of development and learning needs and coordinate with Sr. Manager of Training and Development
Manage communication of staffing decisions across offices/groups ensuring that relevant parties understand decisions and expectations
Communicate problems and issues to appropriate colleagues and propose solutions and improvements to quality of staff life
The position requires demonstrated organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and execute numerous projects and deliverables. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Other requirements include:
Bachelor’s Degree required;
A minimum of five (5) years of in resource planning, operations, or other similar area
Strong analytical skills – including the ability to organize/display information in a clear and cohesive manner;
Ability to collaborate and influence;
Experience in consulting, professional services, learning/development, or management roles a plus;
Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing;
Learns quickly and adapts to a growing and changing environment;
Maintains strict confidence with sensitive matters;
Evening/weekend work may be required along with occasional travel.
