Role OverviewResponsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records. Most important for this role is eye for details, financial project management skills and good communication with the team and senior management.
Role and Responsibilities
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Should have experience in a multi-entity reporting environment
• Collaborate with members of the Finance team in the development and reporting of relevant financial and operational information and ad hoc projects as requested by management
• Experience with ERP - SageIntacct, NetSuite or similar, is desirable
• Managed a team of up to 10 direct and indirect employees
Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proven work experience in accounting or a related field.
• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of payroll, inventory control, accounts payable, and accounts receivable etc. functions.
• Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
• Proven experience in financial project management
• Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
• Monitor the company’s financial reports and determine ways to optimize costs
• Understand the financials of the company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
